Jerry has spent his life as a community leader and embodies the Boy Scout core values by giving back in both his public and private life. Prior to moving to Temecula from Ohio, he spent 15 years on the Canton Chamber board and various school boards. Since moving to Temecula, he has been deeply involved in the community serving as past chairman, a board member of the Temecula Valley Chamber of Commerce and numerous other community organizations. When presented with the nomination Jerry commented, “I am deeply humbled to be named Citizen of the Year among so many other great community leaders.” Jerry Konchar embodies the Scout law being...trustworthy, loyal, helpful, friendly, courteous, kind, obedient, cheerful, thrifty, brave, clean, and reverent.
