The Boy Scouts of America have selected Kim and John Kelliher as the 2022 Distinguished Citizens of the Year. The Distinguished Citizen Award is presented to individuals whose personal ethics and family values are representative of the Scout Oath and Law. The award will be presented to the Kellihers on Thursday, September 29, 2022, at Pechanga Resort and Casino.
John and Kim Kelliher moved to Temecula in 1997 and started Grapeline Wine Tours in Temecula Valley’s wine country in 2002, with the goal of providing a safe and fun wine tasting experience. The Grapeline has since expanded beyond the local area to Santa Barbara, Paso Robles, Sonoma and Napa. In addition, the couple founded and continue to operate Stryder Transportation, providing executive and group transportation throughout Southern California. For both John and Kim, serving their communities is an important part of their business mission, and they regularly leverage company assets to support local charitable causes. Grapeline and Stryder have been named ‘Business of the Year’ by the Temecula Valley Chamber of Commerce multiple times. The couple, meanwhile, personally gives of their time and talents. John serves as a Commissioner for Visit California, a governor-appointed role in California’s official tourism marketing organization. For the past decade, he has also served on the board for Visit Temecula Valley, including two years as Chairman. Kim, a past President and 16-year member of Temecula Rotary, is similarly active on the Temecula Chamber Board of Directors and currently serves as 1st Vice Chair. As they celebrate 20 years as business owners making a difference in the Temecula Valley and beyond, we look forward to honoring them both for their accomplishments and involvement. |
